Oprah Winfrey, one of the most successful talk show and media personalities ever, really knows how to bring together an all-star crowd for a good cause. The biggest names in Hollywood and the fashion world attended an event at New York’s Lincoln Center on Monday night, hosted by Winfrey, called 'An Evening with Ralph Lauren'. Lauren has been a strong advocate of cancer research and proceeds from the black-tie event went to The Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Care and Prevention as well as the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.

Oprah herself wore a glamorous red, custom-made gown designed by Lauren. The string of celebrity guests included Jessica Alba, Camilla Belle, Uma Thurman and Naomi Watts, Barbara Walters, Jerry Seinfeld, designer Tory Burch, Chanel Iman, Laetitia Queyranne, Dylan Lauren, Lauren Bush, Steve Buscemi, Michael J. Fox, Al Roker and Lily Aldridge.

Michael Bloomberg, the mayor of New York, added even more importance to the event, declaring Monday to be The Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Care and Prevention Day.
