A $250,000 manicure got fashion icon Kelly Osbourne into trouble, and caused anger and maybe even the envy of her fans because of the expensive act of vanity.

The star, at the Emmy Awards, opted for a manicure signed by jewelery designer Azature containing powdered black diamonds from 267 carats. Kelly posted the photo of the precious nail polish on Twitter, and commented: "I've been so scared to touch anything because its powdered black diamonds... worth $250,000. I'm s**ting myself to have that much money on my nails!"

The expensive frivolity caused a lot of dissension among the fans of Kelly who tweeted "This is downright ridiculous. I was in Uganda for 2 weeks in July and of you see how people out there can live on practically nothing,” wrote Anniekidd1989. And also “Sorry wasting that amount of money on nails is absolutely ludicrous. I'm so disgusted.”

"I see that my nail polish has offended some of you, however I see your point, but it was a once in a lifetime experience,” replied Kelly. "Please forgive me for not regretting it. It made me feel like a queen!”
