In addition to being one of the most beautiful actresses in Hollywood, Olivia Wilde is always at the forefront when it comes to raising funds for the Haitian population. The People Like Us star designed a bag-backpack in collaboration with Alternative Apparel to donate the proceeds of the sales to the Academy for Peace and Justice school in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

In the creation of the Message-Bag, which is entirely in sustainable materials, Olivia thought of something comfortable and versatile, inspired by her travels to Haiti “One thing we always had with us were bags we could take anywhere — on a pickup truck, to a hospital, sleeping in a tent. It would have a scarf, bug spray, a camera, malaria pills — and we wanted to recreate it with an Alternative.” Explained the 29 year-old actress.

The creation of the actress is in green olive canvas with leather handles and metal buckles, and can be worn as a backpack or as a shoulder bag. “I've done all of the options, but I really like it as a backpack—especially in New York, because it seems so useful.” Continued Wilde  “I've been carrying it a lot because it's the perfect summer bag. It's good for the beach and good for traveling—you can shove everything in there and it fits a lot more than it looks like it can.”
