Actresses, celebrities and personalities from the world of fashion and television, all gathered to celebrate a holiday so dear to Americans, Halloween. The name comes from the abbreviation of All Hallows Eve, or the night before All Saints’ Day, and traditionally celebrated in Anglo-Saxon countries, the cult of the dead, so the traditional costums were often skeletons ghosts and witches. Over the years the range of Halloween costumes has grown, and peoplehave fun with the most original costumes.
Some Hollywood stars have shown great ingenuity and creativity: the actress of Glee, Lea Michele, wore a Black Swan costume, from the film starring Natalie Portman; Kim Kardashian had been in the role of the comic book character Poison Ivy, while actress Michelle Trachtenberg chose the character Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas. Even dressing up as other stars has been the trend: Nicole Richie and Kelly Osburn were disguised as Jennifer Lopez, Joan Rivers had imitated the daughter of Katie Holmes (Suri Cruise) with hilarious results, while Jennifer Love Hewitt and her boyfriend chose the Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt ‘costume’. Kelly Ripa and Nick Lachey were dressed as Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries recreating, in a perfect way, their wedding clothes, even if this disguise was out of place as the showgirl and the champion of basketball have announced their divorce in the recent days. Nicky and Paris Hilton, were respectively, Catwoman and Wonderwoman; Jessica Simpson was dressed like a Mummy, AnnaLynne McCord as Mary Antoinette, Beyonce as a bee, Gwen Stephany as Cinderella and Heidi Klum was a monkey.
Halloween seems to have turned into an anticipation of the carnival where the game is to be the other, to surprise, but most of all have fun breaking rules and taboos. In the world of entertainment on this occasion the idea prevailed for the tendency to want to be the most famous colleague, and taking cues from the film. We hope that the wish to be on the covers of magazines didn’t win once again on the simple destre to have fun.
