After seeing some of the most beautiful outfits of the MET Gala, among those of Jessica Alba in Michael Kors and Camilla Belle in Ralph Lauren, here are some looks not appropriate for the occasion and a bit excessive. New mother Beyonce Knowles tops the list of the worst-dressed. Despite the singer showing off her perfect shape after giving birth, her Givenchy dress made of purple feathers, sequins and transparencies, left very little to the imagination.
Emma Stone and Kirsten Dunst chose two outfits more suited for Christmas Eve than for the Met Gala; the first in a bright red dress with balloon skirt and sparkling embroidery, while the Melancholia actress chose a full skirt and a red double-breasted jacket with white revers and a black belt; the envy of Santa Claus.
Chloe Sevigny mistakes rarely with fashion, but the short eccentric Miu Miu semitransparent dress with mirrors would be more appreciated at a 70’s disco party than at the Costume Institute Gala. Also Bianca Brandolini D'Adda gleamed a bit too much; she chose a full Dolce & Gabbana made of a long tight skirt in sequins and a gold embroidery cloak with pearls on the neck and on the waist. The choice of Elizabeth Banks was not apt, perhaps with the intention to promote her latest movie The Hunger Games, she opted for a dress with a futuristic design and contrasting prints signed by Mary Katranzou.
Among the badly-dressed we find also Kristen Stewart, in a 80-block-colored dress, Coco Rocha, with a yellow and purple suit combined with her pink curls harido; actress Shailene Woodley, in a long floreal leather gown and Kate Bosworth in a short black feathers dress.
Below in the photogallery are the worst dressed of the 2012 MET Gala, judge for yourself!
