In fact, choosing the right beachwear can help to hide, or rather, to muddy the waters, of the small physical defects that all women have.

Experts like Audrey Jimenez, creator of the brand Everything But Water, offers advices to celebrities and common people based on her experience. “An easy rule to balance proportions is to showcase your best assets in bold colors and big prints,” says Jimenez. "Downplay worry areas with dark, solid colors."

For a pear-shaped body, such as Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez, the secret is to be able to balance the proportions, giving as much emphasis as possible to the breast, in order to calibrate the proportions of the hips and the bottom. For those who have a large bust and a generous cleavage such as Brooklyn Decker, Katy Perry and Sofia Vergara, the secret to look amazing is having good support for the breasts with bra cups and chopsticks, avoiding frills and prints if you want to minimize the attention to the chest.

For those who have small breasts,  and are a little curvy, like Kate Hudson, Jimenez suggests: “The smaller the swimsuit bottom, the fuller and curvier the derriere appears,” says Jimenez.  “Brazilian bikini bottoms show more skin and make your butt look rounder and fuller.”

As for Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Aniston, with very athletic bodies, the expert suggests: "Tops or bottoms with bold prints, ruffles, and embellishments that add intrigue and feminine flair, and can create the appearance of more curves."
