Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been planning a flamboyant and happy marriage…until Brad’s mother did something ‘outrageous’ and completely repulsed her future daughter-in-law. So much that Jolie, with her natural temperamental attitude, has considered cancelling the wedding ceremony (Read|Gallery). The 37-year old Tomb Raider star remained severely upset when Brad Pitt’s mother encouraged readers of a local Missouri newspaper to vote against the Democratic President Barack Obama because of his actions to defend homosexual marriage.

Her future mother-in-law’ defined the Republican candidate Mitt Romney as ‘a family man with high morals’ and expressed her support for him.
However, her opinion contrasted strongly with that of  Angelina, who together with Brad, is a passionate supporter of Obama.

Angelina thinks that as a mother of a celebrity figure, she should stay away from expressing such extreme standpoints that are in opposition with her son’s own views. Brad Pitt has taken a neutral position, but the conflict between Jolie and his mom is deepening. 

In the meantime, Brad’s mother has received abusive and threatening attacks from Obama’s supporters.
