Elton John and his partner, filmmaker David Furnish, sold their Hollywood apartment for the safety of their baby Zachary.
The couple is in fact terrified that the child, who they adopted two years ago, could fall from one of the many windows of the luxury apartment located in one of the upper floors of the Sierra Towers. The luxurious home of the singer was put on sale for $4.65 million in March, and the couple have already bought a house in Beverly Hills for $7.65 million.
"The reason behind Elton and David giving up their West Hollywood condo is because they thought it wasn’t a suitable place for a toddler to grow up in." Explained a source close to the couple, "They did love the home, but now they are parents they have to think more sensibly and it wasn’t ideal for Zachary.
'The apartment was situated halfway up the Sierra Towers complex, so it was dangerously high-up. Zachary is very precious to them, and Elton remembered what happened to his close friend Eric Clapton who lost his son Conor in such a tragic way.”
Many Hollywood stars live in the Sierra Towers compex, including Courtney Cox (Read), Lindsay Lohan, Cher, Sidney Poitier, David Jeffen and Joan Collins.
