Two weeks are left until the birth of singer/actress/entrepreneur Jessica Simpson’s baby. Her friends threw the fashion mogul a baby shower to remember on Sunday in Los Angeles. Some of her guests included actress Jessica Alba, Simpson’s sister Ashlee and Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo. Alba brought her own daughter Haven (7 months) to the event and Ashley brought her three-year old son Bronx to give Jessica a taste of what she was to expect.

Jessica wore an unusual light blue snakeskin dress covered with ruffles to her baby shower and wore braids in her hair. She received loads of toys (mostly wrapped in pink) including toys, clothes, books and other items. The party was organized by party planner Mindy Weiss.

Simpson recently posed nude for Elle magazine in April (see previous article), much like Demi Moore did in her famous Vanity Fair pregnancy photos. She is expecting a baby girl and has recently been seen wearing flat shoes instead of her trademark high heels, because she has become so huge.

Jessica is engaged to Eric Johnson and her fashion empire is worth $1 billion.
