Many people don’t know that actress Angelina Jolie has a passion for flying. When she wants to escape from the stress of fame and paparazzi she jumps in a plane and heads for the sky. Last weekend she was seen taking off at Van Nuys airport in California wearing cool aviator glasses in the pilot’s seat. She was also spotted last summer riding in a small plane with daughter Shiloh near Los Angeles and then going to flying lessons in England with her son Maddox in September.

Angelina was probably influenced by her partner Brad Pitt, who is also an avid flyer. She also says that she was inspired by her son, Maddox, to start flying because he loved airplanes and she wanted to be his hero. She received her pilot’s license seven years ago.

Angelina and Brad have recently been interested in being space travellers through Richard Branson’s space aviation company called Virgin Galactic. Ashton Kutcher has already signed up to go on a space trip.
