Elizabeth Taylor, her timeless auction
In December 2011 a four day auction was organized at Christie's in New York to sell the treasures, the memories of the only DIVA that there ever was, Elizabeth Taylor: to be clear, we mean her jewellery

That Elizabeth Taylor loved men is no surprise, in fact she had to marry seven of them just to find the right one and one of them she even married twice! Still this wasn't the only passion that ruled her life but something else, something deeper, more rare and that only a few can collect like her: Jewels.
Numerous jokes, lines, even urban legends are told around the actresse's fetish for diamonds that wasn't a simple fetish but something more; diamonds had to be rare and they had to be presents but above all they had to shine like her. You can imagine why it took Christie's four days to sell diamonds, rubies and pearls, all belonging to the Cleopatra of all times.
The actress passed away in March 2011 and the auction was organized in December the same year. More then 269 jewels were sold, gathering something like $156 millions. An English channel had the clever idea to film the auction and along with it they traced the actresse's life from the very beginning: a detailed and emotional documentary, for everyone who loved the actresses.
Elizabeth might not be with us anymore but her presence just like her diamonds, will shine eternally.
