Believe it or not, there are still some pictures of Marilyn Monroe that haven’t been seen yet by the general public. A rare set of chromogenic prints has surfaced where she is posing completely nude and topless and will be up for auction next month on May 8th. They are expected to make around $25,000.

The rare shots of Marilyn were taken by photographer Bert Stern, only six weeks before her death at the age of 36. They are so important to the legend of the icon that the photo session was called The Last Sitting. They were originally taken for Vogue.

The entire set is up for auction and shows Monroe posing with a transparent scarf and lying on white sheets. She appeared very happy and seduced the camera like only Monroe could.

The shoot was part of a publicity campaign that Monroe was working on shortly after her she performed her famous Happy Birthday song for John F. Kennedy and after she was fired from the movie Something’s Got to Give because she wasn’t showing up for filming. Marilyn was found dead from a ‘probable suicide’ in her bed after acute barbiturate poisoning in August 1962.
