Jason Momoa

American actor and model Joseph Jason Namakaeha Momoa was born in 1979. His father was a Native Hawaiian and his mother was of German, Irish, and Native American ancestry. He is known for his role as Ronon Dex on science fiction television series Stargate: Atlantis. He played Khal Drogo in the 2011 HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones.

Marcus Nispel

German-American film director and producer Marcus Nispel was born in 1963. He started his career in advertising as an art director and came to US in 1984. He founded and operated his own production company, Portfolio Artists Network, and directed several commercials and music videos. In 2003 Nispel directed the remake of the classic 1974 horror movie The Texas Chainsaw Massacre; in 2007 the epic Pathfinder and in 2009 the Friday the 13th reboot of the original film.

Having thrived and evolved for eight consecutive decades in the public imagination - in prose and graphics, on the big screen and small, in games and properties of all kinds - Conan's exploits in the Hyborian Age now come alive like never before in a colossal 3D action-adventure film. Deftly adapted from the original works of Robert E. Howard and faithful to the mythology and psychology of his iconic character, Conan the Barbarian stars Jason Momoa, Rachel Nichols, Stephen Lang, Rose McGowan, Saïd Taghmaoui and Ron Perlman. The film is directed by Marcus Nispel, and written by Thomas Dean Donnelly, Joshua Oppenheimer, and Sean Hood. The movie is a new interpretation of the Conan mythology, and is not related to the films featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger and directed by John Milius, who makes a cameo appearance in the new film.

Plot:

After his father is murdered and village destroyed, Conan ventures into an unforgiving world where he survives as a thief, pirate, and warrior. On his path of wanton adventure and women, Conan chances upon the warlord responsible for his tribe's destruction. As he tracks Khalar Zym, Conan battles monsters, Zym's henchmen, and Marique, a powerful witch.
