It’s an American high school tradition to go to the biggest, most important dance of the year,  prom, but some students end up either going with someone that they don’t really want to go with or don’t get asked at all. That was the case for American late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel.

Kimmel invited sexy actress Scarlett Johansson to his show Jimmy Kimmel Live to talk about her role in the new movie The Avengers and mentioned that he had not been invited to prom. Scarlett joked that, although she had gone to her own high school prom with her boyfriend at the time, she definitely would have gone with him if he would have asked her. Jimmy proceeded to try and erase his past by giving Scarlett a corsage and asked her to pose with a life-sized picture of him as a teenager in a powder blue tuxedo and pretend to be enamored with him and kiss him as he took pictures.

Scarlett plays Natasha Romanoff in The Avengers, co-starring Robert Downey Jr. The  film is already breaking records at the box office (read).
