Uma Thurman

American actress born in 1970. She's Professor Robert Thurman's daughter, who’s famous for being one of the world's leading experts in Buddhism and friend of the Dalai Lama’s. She made her debut in 1988 with Kiss Daddy Goodnight. Success came in the same year with the movie Dangerous Liaisons. In 1994, she played Mia Wallace in Pulp Fiction by Quentin Tarantino, a role for which she was nominated for an Oscar as Best Supporting Actress and she also won the MTV Movie Awards. In 2003, she played lead role in Kill Bill by Tarantino as well as in its sequel in 2004. She also acted in Batman and Robin (1997), Sweet and Lowdown (1999) and My Super Ex-Girlfriend (2006).
