American actress and singer Leighton Meester was born in 1986. She first garnered attention and critical acclaim for playing Blair Waldorf in the CW's teen drama television series Gossip Girl. Most recently Meester appeared in the 2010 country drama Country Strong directed by Shana Feste, the comedy Date Night by Shawn Levy, the 2011 thriller The Roommate directed by Christian E. Christiansen, and the 2011 romantic-comedy Monte Carlo.
