Walking With Dinosaurs 3D

Before the world changed: Walking with Dinosaurs 3D

In 1999 the Walking with Dinosaurs TV series changed the way we saw dinosaurs forever. Aired on BBC Earth, this revolutionary show took viewers right into the dinosaurs’ world, showing them as if they were alive and filmed in the wild. It covered an amazing 155 million years of prehistory with the most cutting-edge technology ever seen on television. Now Walking with Dinosaurs becomes a 3D movie, directed by Pierre de Lespinois and Neil Nightingale on a script by John Collee (Happy Feet) and Theodore Thomas. The film was shot with the Cameron | Pace Fusion 3D camera system, used on features including Avatar and Transformers: Dark of the Moon and for live 3D broadcasts of sports including the U.S. Open Tennis Championship for CBS Sports. “Walking with Dinosaurs 3D offers a fantastic opportunity to push our advances in 3D even further,” James Cameron said. “We’re inspired by the creative ambition behind the film and the opportunity to work on a feature that aims to bring audiences a real, visceral experience.”
